Savoir faire: Ambiente's new cafe raises the bar for renovations
The Prague Post, March 31, 2005 The Ambiente Group, one of the city's most formidable culinary forces, recently swept down on a venerable location: Prague 5's Cafe Savoy. Once a decadent turn-of-the-century coffeehouse, the Savoy was a favorite smoky haunt in the era after the Velvet Revolution, before its modern redecoration in late 2001. Now Ambiente has redecorated the place yet again with more period detail, offering excellent atmosphere and decent food at a good price.

Prague Spoon, May 26, 2008 It is now one of the few restaurants in Prague that serves traditional Czech dishes made from high-quality ingredients. They’re not interested in cheating their customers here, and it shows. All of their meats are fantastic: the Prague ham, the frankfurters served with mustard and fresh horseradish, the aforementioned tatarák.
Café Savoy Improvements
Czech Please, July 16, 2008 Café Savoy, one of the best looking restaurants in Prague, is looking even better. Upstairs, they've rearranged the counters. They put one dessert display in front of the open kitchen space, opening up even more than it was. Downstairs, they've done even more. Amazingly, where the old bathrooms used to be, there is now a staircase to the lower level. The new bathrooms are located there.
