Description

Since 1935, there is a workshop in Prague, dedicated to painting on glass and lead stained glass. Founded by Josef Martin Sr. (1903 - 1969), which are realized by Max Švabinského stained glass for the Cathedral of St.. Vitus (Last court from 1937 to 1939 and Holy Trinity from 1939 to 1949), works by Charles Svolinský, Jan Bauch, Vladimir Sychra, Cyril Bouda, etc. In 1964, succeeded in the leadership of Joseph Martin's dream. Joseph Martin Jr., Graduate School of Glassmaking in Nový Bor and School of Applied Arts in Prague in the studio J. Kaplický. There a stained-glass windows for churches sv. Bartholomew in Cologne, Vol. Bartholomew in Pilsen, Rakovník Big Bor, Most, Košice, Libis etc., for the ceremonial hall in Klinkovice Moravia, Prague, the oldest one and the Pinkas Synagogue, the reconstructed area St. Agnes Monastery and others carried out a stained glass by Charles Svolinský, Jan Bauch, Cyril Bouda, Josef Jíry and many other artists, restored fragments of Gothic stained glass from Cologne, Nadslavi, Křivoklátu and Bones. Between 1991 - 2002 to lead the third workshop involved in the generation masters Martin Martin (* 1958 † 2002).

At present workshop is led by Petr Coufal. At our facility it is possible to see the progress of restoration work on the glass windows of historic buildings from throughout the country, implementing the work of contemporary artists and the production of replicas of historic stained glass.

You can order the production of stained glass, sandblasted glass or etched ornaments, or purchase a replica of historic stained glass.
