Description

The Michal Restaurant is situated in one of the oldest parts of historical Prague on the right bank of the River Vltava, only a few steps away from the stone arches of Charles Bridge. Its closeness also invites you to take a pleasant walk with a beautiful view of the panorama of Hradčany after finishing your good meal. The building in which the restaurant is situated was reconstructed in Art Nouveau style in the second half of the 19th century, but from its interior it is clear that its roots go back as far as the Early Gothic period. Further proof of this is one of the oldest streets in Prague - Boršov - which adjoins the restaurant.

Entering the restaurant is very simple - there are no steep steps to surprise you here - because all three of its fully air-conditioned sections with a total capacity of 160 seats are situated on the ground floor. In the front area, which is used more for small snacks and refreshments, you can rest on comfortable chairs with a cup of good coffee or read your favourite newspaper.

If you feel like something more substantial, a few steps will take you past the bar and into second part of the restaurant. Here there is both daylight, coming though the glazed ceiling at the entrance to this section, and also a cosy and intimate area for business talks or a romantic supper in our saloon. This part is dominated by brick vaulting and pillars of salmon pink combined with the dimmed lightness of the blue walls and the very pleasant soft light of the wall lamps.

If you want to hold a buffet or a banquet for your trade partners or if you would like to arrange a family party or a wedding feast, nothing is simpler than to move on to the third part of the restaurant. The main hall is tailor-made for such events. In combination with all the areas of the restaurant, the quality of the service and gourmet specialities we can prepare for you events of top quality, which we guarantee with our long years of experience and many outstanding references. To improve the quality of services in the tourist industry we also offer a special menu for travel agencies and organise typical dance and music programmes from various corners of our land.

Our typical menu consists both of typical Czech dishes and also meals from international cuisine, and we have also remembered vegetarians and those who favour a healthy diet. We always prepare all this from fresh and original raw materials, savoury herbs and especially with the wish that the guest will always enjoy our food. For this purpose we provide a very wide range of good quality and carefully selected wines from vineyards both in Moravia and abroad, several types of beer both from one of the small Czech breweries, Černá Hora, and also Plzeň Prazdroj, and naturally also a whole range of aperitifs, spirits and soft drinks.
